Requirements:


1.  Master degree (or equivalent) in one of life sciences disciplines, candidates who would defend their master thesis shortly after the application deadline, are eligible to apply
2.  Documented scientific achievements
3.  Outstanding publication record
4. Be highly motivated (demonstrated by references of the candidate's thesis tutor, participation in scientific conferences and experience gained through scientific visits to other laboratories)
5.  Be proficient in English
6.  No specific expertise in RNA/chromatin/NGS/plant molecular biology is required but will be an advantage

We reserve the right to contact only selected candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited to give a short seminar describing their scientific achievements the seminar will be held in front of the panel joint by invited guests (including senior staff members of the institute). This will be followed by a formal interview with the candidates. We reserve the right to perform the interview and presentation of candidate achievements over the phone.
Successful PhD students will also undergo recruitment procedures for the PhD program at IBB (Warsaw School of Molecular Biology). This will give the PhD students the benefit of being part of the IBB Polish Academy of Sciences PhD program, including: educational programs organised by the Institute, weekly departmental seminars, a series of mini-symposia given by EU scientists and possibility to apply for small internal grants to support their research.

Fellowship: 4500 PLN/month (not subject to income tax).
