The campaign motto in 2021 is Rare is many worldwide. Rare is strong every day. Rare is proud everywhere.

Rare diseases affect 300 million people worldwide. There are around 8,000 rare diseases and 8% of the population suffer from them. So they are not at all rare. People suffering from rare diseases must be strong to overcome the hardships of everyday life. They have their dignity, they are brave, unique and proud.

As previously, we will present new achievements in diagnostics, researching the mechanisms of rare diseases, and caring for the patients by family members. This time, the main topic will be the available therapies for rare diseases and the search for new ones.

We also want to show solidarity with sick people and support them through a public fundraiser for the SMA Foundation. We encourage everyone to take part in the fundraiser.

As in previous years, Beata Muchowska will take part in the event and will present her new photographic works from the series “Teachers of Love”.

We hope that your participation in our event will bring you satisfaction.
